5 GHz Wi-Fi Operation
The ACW-308 covers frequencies from 5.1 to 5.9 GHz. It is intended for compatible 5 GHz Wi-Fi equipment and does not support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, cellular, or GPS frequencies.
Omnidirectional Outdoor Coverage
The antenna distributes the Wi-Fi signal around the installation rather than concentrating it in one direction. This makes it useful when connected devices may be positioned on multiple sides of an access point, such as around a work yard, dock, facility, or outdoor public area.
8 dBi Antenna Gain
The ACW-308 provides 8 dBi of gain. Compared with a lower-gain antenna, it concentrates more energy toward the horizon, which can support longer-range communication with devices located at a similar elevation.
Outdoor Installation
The fiberglass antenna is designed for outdoor networking installations and supports operating temperatures from -40°C to 80°C / -40°F to 176°F. It should be mounted vertically and positioned away from major obstructions where possible.
N-Male Connection
The antenna uses an N-male connector. It can attach directly to equipment with a compatible N-female Wi-Fi antenna port or connect through a suitable low-loss antenna cable. Any required cable or adapter should be selected for 5 GHz operation to limit signal loss.
