Peplink POTS Adapter LTE: Modern Connectivity for Legacy Phone Systems

The Peplink POTS Adapter provides a reliable and cost-effective way to replace traditional Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) lines with modern LTE and VoLTE cellular connectivity. It enables compatible analog telephone equipment to continue operating as legacy copper phone services are phased out, eliminating the need for a conventional landline connection.

Designed for Essential Analog Equipment

Purpose-built for industrial and commercial applications, the adapter supports equipment such as fire and security alarm panels, elevator emergency phones, door and gate intercoms, office telephones, fax machines, autodial systems, ATMs, and roadside call boxes. The RJ11 phone interface connects compatible analog equipment to the adapter, allowing calls and supported communication protocols to operate through a voice-enabled cellular service.

Simple Standalone Deployment

The Peplink POTS Adapter operates as a standalone solution and requires no additional router or networking equipment. Deployment requires only a suitable power source, adequate LTE coverage, and an activated SIM card that supports voice and VoLTE service. Two included LTE antennas help establish cellular connectivity, while optional external antennas can improve reception in challenging or enclosed locations.

Centralized Monitoring with InControl 2

Peplink InControl 2 provides centralized remote monitoring and management for deployed adapters. Administrators can review cellular connection quality, POTS line statistics, data usage, and activity logs from a single platform. InControl 2 also supports remote configuration, firmware updates, service notifications, and alerts for events such as changes in signal strength or power status, helping reduce deployment and troubleshooting costs.

Reliable Power and Industrial-Grade Design

The compact, lightweight adapter is engineered for reliable operation in demanding environments. It supports both a 4-pin power connection and USB-C power, with both sources able to remain connected simultaneously for power redundancy. Its low power consumption, wide operating temperature range, external antenna connectors, and optional DIN rail mounting make it suitable for remote, industrial, and solar-powered installations.

North American LTE Compatibility

The North American models support LTE bands B2, B4, B5, B12, B13, B14, B66, and B71, with carrier certifications for Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and FirstNet. Carrier service, supported features, and VoLTE availability depend on the selected plan and SIM provisioning.

Important Service Requirements: A SIM card with active voice and VoLTE support is required for telephone functionality. Data-only SIM cards, including Peplink eSIM Data Plans, cannot provide VoLTE voice service.

Emergency Calling Notice: The Peplink POTS Adapter does not support 911 or E911 emergency calling services.
