External GPS Reception
The ACW-232 connects to the dedicated GPS port on a compatible Peplink router. Positioning the antenna where it has a clearer view of the sky can improve GPS reception when the router itself is mounted under a dashboard, inside an equipment enclosure, or away from a window.
Magnetic Mounting
A magnetic base allows the antenna to attach to a steel vehicle roof, equipment cabinet, or other suitable metal surface without a permanent mounting hole. The antenna should be installed with its upper surface facing the sky and away from objects that may block satellite signals.
Fleet and Location Applications
When connected to a supported router, the antenna can provide the GPS reception needed for functions such as:
- Vehicle and fleet location tracking
- Route and movement history
- Asset location monitoring
- Location information within Peplink InControl management
- GPS-assisted reporting from mobile network deployments

Active GPS Design
The ACW-232 is an active GPS antenna, meaning it uses power supplied through the router’s GPS antenna port to support signal reception. It operates at the standard GPS L1 frequency and should only be connected to equipment designed for an active GPS antenna.
