Single-Bay Rapid Charging
The BC-202IP2 holds one compatible ICOM radio or battery pack at a time. Its drop-in design provides a dedicated charging position for the IP501H without requiring the battery to be removed after each shift.
The charger supports these ICOM lithium-ion battery packs:

- BP-272
- BP-307
Receive Calls While Charging
A compatible radio can remain powered on for receiving while seated in the charger. This is useful at monitored workstations where an IP501H must remain available for incoming LTE push-to-talk communication during charging.
Battery Protection
The BC-202IP2 includes a smart charging function designed to protect compatible lithium-ion batteries. Its charging current is rated at 940 mA, and the rapid-charge safety timer is set to five hours.
Power Supply Options
The charger operates from a 12–16 VDC input. ICOM offers regional versions with US, European, Australian, or UK AC adapters, as well as a version supplied without an adapter. The included power supply therefore depends on the specific product configuration.
