Description
Focused LED Illumination
The RCL-95 uses ten high-output OSRAM LEDs with a combined power rating of 50W. Its focused 8-degree beam is suitable for identifying buoys, docks, bridges, shoreline features, and other objects during nighttime operation.
The LED module has a rated operating life of 50,000 hours, reducing the need for periodic lamp replacement.
Wired and Wireless Control
The supplied dash-mounted joystick provides fixed control from the helm through a 5-meter cable. A handheld wireless remote is also included for operating the searchlight from other positions within its rated 65-meter range.
The controls allow the operator to:
- Switch the light on or off
- Move the beam up, down, left, or right
- Select fast or slow rotation
- Activate strobe mode from the wireless remote
- Return the light to its stored home position
Directional Movement
Continuous 360-degree rotation eliminates a hard stop when scanning around the vessel or vehicle. The light also provides 135 degrees of vertical tilt for viewing elevated structures or nearby water.
Weather-Resistant Construction
The ASA housing is resistant to UV exposure and marine weather. The housing is rated IP56, while the LED module is rated IP68. A hardened polycarbonate lens and cast-aluminum heat sink protect the lighting components and help manage heat during operation.
Installation
The RCL-95 operates from either 12V or 24V DC power. Installation requires mounting the searchlight upright, connecting vessel or vehicle power, and routing the supplied control cable to the wired joystick.
If DC power is fully disconnected, the light should be operated through one complete rotation after power is restored to recalibrate its automatic-home position.
