Centralized Access Point Management

The RS-AP3 allows multiple compatible ICOM access points to be organized and managed through one graphical interface. Administrators can place access points into groups, view them on a customizable map, and monitor device information without signing into each unit separately.

The software is useful for:

Individual and Group Configuration

Settings can be imported from an existing access point, edited on the computer, and sent back to one or more managed units. The software supports both individual settings and common configurations applied across an access point group.

Managed options can include supported network, wireless, security, DHCP, packet-filter, SNMP, load-balancing, and notification settings. Available controls depend on the connected access point model and firmware.

Network Monitoring and Alerts

The RS-AP3 can display access point status, collect system logs, and detect unauthorized access attempts. Email notification functions can also be configured for supported events, helping administrators identify network issues without continually watching the management screen.

Compatible ICOM Access Points

The RS-AP3 is designed for the following ICOM wireless access points:

• ICOM AP-90M
• ICOM AP-95M

The access point’s management-tool setting must be enabled before it can be controlled through the RS-AP3. Network communication and static IP settings must also be configured correctly between the computer and each access point.

USB-Based Software License

The software is supplied on a linked USB flash drive that must be connected when the RS-AP3 is started and used. Copying the files to another drive does not transfer the license or allow the software to operate independently of the original USB device.
