SAILOR 6080 AC/DC Power Supply 300W/28V DC
Description
Regulated Power for Marine Equipment
The SAILOR 6080 provides a nominal DC output ranging from 28.7 to 31.2 VDC, depending on the connected load. It is designed for SAILOR BGAN and FleetBroadband systems and may also be used as a general DC power source for compatible maritime communications equipment.
At a 100–240 VAC input, the supply delivers 300 W continuously and up to 370 W for a maximum of two minutes at a 10% duty cycle. When operated from 90–100 VAC, available output is reduced to 270 W continuous and 333 W peak.
Emergency Battery Switchover
A dedicated input allows an external 24 V emergency battery to be connected. If AC power is lost, the supply can switch to the battery source so connected communication equipment can remain operational, subject to the battery capacity and system load. The battery input includes reverse-polarity protection and external fuses.
An AC alarm output can signal conditions including loss of AC power, a blown AC fuse, overload, short circuit, an internal fault, or the power switch being turned off.
Expandable Power Configuration
One SAILOR 6080 can operate as a standalone supply, or up to four units can be stacked and daisy-chained for systems requiring more power. Four supplies can provide up to 1,480 W of combined peak output when correctly configured.
The unit may be installed directly on a wall, placed in an optional heavy-duty wall tray, or fitted into a compatible 1U rack arrangement. Adequate ventilation and the required cable sizing must be maintained during installation.
Protection and Marine Installation
The SAILOR 6080 includes short-circuit and over-temperature protection. If the unit shuts down because of excessive temperature, it is designed to restart automatically after operating conditions return to an acceptable range.
All electrical connections are positioned at one end of the enclosure and protected by a transparent cover. A supplied cable-relief bracket helps secure heavier power cables in permanent vessel installations. The supply is IEC 60945 approved for marine use.
