Four-Battery Charging

The charger accepts up to four removable IsatPhone 2 batteries simultaneously. Batteries charge outside the handsets, allowing the phones to remain available while spare batteries are prepared for later use.

Independent Charging and Conditioning

Each bay manages its installed battery independently. The charger conditions the batteries during the charging process and uses separate LED indicators to provide status information for each bay.

Published specifications for the SatStation four-bay platform list a typical charging time of approximately 90 minutes. Actual charging time depends on remaining capacity, battery condition, temperature, and the connected power source.

Centralized Battery Management

The four-bay format reduces the number of individual chargers and wall outlets needed to maintain a group of IsatPhone 2 batteries. It is useful in equipment rooms, dispatch centers, rental facilities, emergency operations centers, and remote bases where multiple phones are issued or rotated between personnel.

Interchangeable Charging Platform

SatStation’s four-bay platform supports interchangeable battery plates for several satellite-phone models. This IsatPhone 2 configuration is supplied with the appropriate plates for IsatPhone 2 batteries. Different plate types may also be used on the platform when purchased separately, allowing mixed battery fleets to share one charging base.
