Description
Extended Ethernet Connection
The cable extends the wired Ethernet connection within a Blue Sky Network SkyLink installation by 50 feet. This provides more flexibility when routing the network connection between the terminal and equipment installed elsewhere in a vehicle, vessel, building, or equipment enclosure.
SkyLink System Compatibility
This cable is intended for use with the Blue Sky Network SkyLink communication system and compatible SkyLink Ethernet accessories. SkyLink supports wired Ethernet connections alongside its Wi-Fi, cellular, and Iridium Certus satellite communication functions.
The required adapter or Ethernet kit depends on the existing SkyLink installation and is selected separately.
Cat 6 Construction
Cat 6 construction supports a standard wired network connection between compatible equipment. The 50-foot length allows the cable to be routed around consoles, panels, equipment racks, and other installation obstacles without adding several shorter cables.
The cable should be routed away from sharp edges, excessive heat, moving components, and areas where it may be crushed or repeatedly flexed.
