Fixed Deck Installation

The deck mount bolts directly to a suitable flat surface and provides a raised threaded base for the antenna. It is useful for vessel decks, equipment housings, rooftops, and other installations where a pole or rail mount is not required.

The supporting surface should be rigid enough to hold the antenna securely during vibration, vessel movement, and changing weather conditions.

Standard 1"-14NF Antenna Interface

The mount uses an internal 1"-14NF thread, a common marine antenna mounting standard. It is designed for compatible Scan marine, SATCOM, and GPS antennas, including the Scan antenna used with supported Blue Sky Network SkyLink systems.

Antenna compatibility and cable-routing requirements should be confirmed before drilling the mounting surface.

Stainless-Steel Construction

The mount is made from polished stainless steel for use in exposed marine and outdoor environments. Its 105 mm height provides clearance beneath the antenna while maintaining a compact installation footprint.

The mount and fasteners should be inspected periodically for loosening, corrosion, or damage.

Installation Considerations

The antenna should be positioned with a clear view of the sky and appropriate separation from nearby structures and transmitting antennas. SkyLink installation guidance recommends securely mounting the antenna to a rigid structure and avoiding locations where obstructions may interfere with satellite visibility.

A suitable cable entry, sealant, and mounting fasteners must be selected for the installation surface.
