Direct SM-3 Replacement
The bracket is designed specifically to hold the ACR SM-3 Lifebuoy Marker Light. It can be used when the original bracket is damaged, missing, or no longer secures the light correctly.
Compatible with Existing SM-2 Mounting Holes
ACR designed the SM-3 bracket with mounting-hole positions matching those of the discontinued SM-2 marker-light bracket. Existing SM-2 mounting holes can therefore be reused when upgrading to an SM-3, subject to the condition of the mounting surface and hardware.
Accessible Lifebuoy Installation
The bracket allows the SM-3 to remain mounted near a lifebuoy until needed. The SM-3 itself is a water-activated LED marker light designed to float upright and provide 360-degree visibility after deployment; the light is sold separately from this replacement bracket.
