SMA/F - TNC/M Adapter

Connector Conversion

The adapter has a standard SMA female connector on one side and a standard TNC male connector on the other. It can be used when an antenna cable terminating in SMA male must connect to equipment with a TNC female port, or when adapting other compatible RF components.

Direct RF Connection

Its straight, one-piece design keeps the connection compact and avoids the additional length and signal loss associated with an adapter cable. SMA and TNC interfaces use threaded couplings that help maintain a secure connection in fixed and mobile communication systems.

Equipment Compatibility

This type of adapter is commonly used with:

• External antennas and antenna cables
• Satellite and two-way radio equipment

The adapter changes the connector format only. It does not convert frequencies, amplify signals, or make otherwise incompatible equipment work together.

Installation Considerations

The antenna system should use matching 50-ohm components. Verify that both connections use standard polarity rather than RP-SMA or RP-TNC before installation. Comparable SMA female-to-TNC male adapters are designed as 50-ohm RF components, although the exact supported frequency range may vary by manufacturer and construction.
