ICOM IC-SAT100 SP40 Earphone with 3.5mm plug
Description
Private Incoming Audio
The SP-40 routes received PTT audio directly to the operator’s ear. This keeps incoming communication from being broadcast through the IC-SAT100 or speaker microphone, which is useful in shared work areas, vehicles, public locations, and other environments where radio traffic should remain close to the user.
Compact In-Ear Design
The earphone uses a conventional in-ear tip rather than an acoustic tube or earhook. It weighs approximately 6.3 g and includes a 1 m cable, keeping the listening setup simple and lightweight during regular use.
IC-SAT100 Accessory Compatibility
Icom lists the SP-40 as compatible with the IC-SAT100 when paired with the HM-222 or HM-222H speaker microphone. The earphone connects to the microphone’s 3.5 mm output and does not plug directly into the satellite radio.
Receive-Only Operation
The SP-40 handles incoming audio only. Transmitting and push-to-talk control remain with the connected speaker microphone or radio equipment.
