Description
Speaker Microphone for the BC-218
The HM-215 connects directly to the ICOM BC-218 charging cradle through its modular connector. It provides a handheld microphone, speaker, and push-to-talk interface for compatible LTE/IP radios used with the charger.
Operate the Radio While Charging
When a compatible radio is placed in the BC-218, calls can be made and received through the HM-215 while the radio battery is charging. This arrangement is useful in fleet vehicles, dispatch stations, security desks, and mobile work areas where the radio needs to remain accessible throughout the shift.
Bluetooth Radio Connection
The HM-215 is wired to the BC-218, while the charger communicates with the radio through Bluetooth. This allows the speaker microphone to continue operating when the radio is removed from the cradle and carried nearby.
Integrated Controls
The microphone includes up and down buttons for supported radio selections, along with a power button for the Bluetooth function. An LED shows the connection status between the HM-215 and BC-218 system.
