The Intellian VCM-1505 is a Terrasat IBUC 2 block upconverter for compatible maritime and fixed VSAT systems. Model IBR137145-2NA052WW converts a 950–1,700 MHz L-band modem signal into a 13.75–14.5 GHz full Ku-band uplink signal.

Full Ku-Band Frequency Coverage

The VCM-1505 operates across the 13.75–14.5 GHz full Ku-band uplink range and accepts a 950–1,700 MHz IF signal. It uses non-inverting frequency conversion with a 12.8 GHz local oscillator, supporting compatible networks across standard and extended Ku-band frequencies.

50W RF Output

The Terrasat IBUC 2 provides a minimum P1dB output of +47 dBm, equivalent to 50W. The standard-gain configuration provides at least 78 dB of small-signal gain, with a 30 dB adjustment range in 0.1 dB increments.

Integrated Monitoring and Control

The IBUC 2 supports Ethernet management through an RJ45 interface, along with RS-232/485 and handheld-terminal access through an MS-type connector. FSK management can also be multiplexed over the transmit IF cable.

These interfaces allow compatible network and antenna-control equipment to adjust gain, review alarms, monitor transmit performance, and diagnose system conditions remotely.

AC-Powered Outdoor Installation

This configuration accepts 100–240V AC at 50/60 Hz and consumes approximately 460 VA at rated output. The integrated AC supply avoids the need for a separate external DC power converter.

The weatherized enclosure is designed for operation in outdoor antenna installations, including environments with condensing humidity and temperatures from -40°C to 55°C.
