Thuraya IP Voyager DC Power Cable with Ignition Sense
Description
Direct Vehicle Power Connection
The cable connects the IP Voyager terminal directly to a suitable vehicle battery, fuse block, or other regulated DC power source. The terminal accepts an input range of 10–32V DC, allowing installation in both 12V and 24V vehicles.
Ignition Sense Support
The three-wire design includes a white ignition-sense lead that can be connected to a switched accessory or ignition circuit. This allows the terminal to respond to the vehicle’s ignition state rather than remaining powered continuously.
The cable wiring is identified as:
- Red: DC positive
- White: Ignition sense positive
- Black: DC negative
Protected Installation
The IP Voyager requires a fused power source. Thuraya specifies a 15A fast-blow ATO blade fuse for the terminal and recommends protecting the supply circuit against cable shorts. Installation should be completed by qualified personnel using the correct wire gauge, grounding, and cable-routing practices.
