Replacement Power for the XT-DUAL

This spare battery is designed for the Thuraya XT-DUAL satellite phone. It installs in place of the handset’s existing battery and can be used either as a direct replacement or as a charged backup during travel and field operations.

Battery Capacity and Operating Time

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery has a rated capacity of 2400mAh at 3.7V. Thuraya rates the XT-DUAL for up to:

• 6 hours of talk time in satellite mode
• 60 hours of standby time in satellite mode
• 11 hours of talk time in GSM mode
• 160 hours of standby time in GSM mode

Actual operating time varies with signal strength, network mode, temperature, phone settings, and usage.

Practical Field Use

A second battery is useful for remote travel, field assignments, emergency communication kits, and other situations where the phone may remain away from a charging source. It also provides a straightforward replacement when the original battery no longer holds a full charge.

The battery can be charged while installed in the XT-DUAL using the phone’s compatible charging equipment.
