The ACR URP-102 Point Pad Kit adds a secondary wired control station to compatible ACR RCL-50 and RCL-100 Series searchlight systems. It allows the searchlight to be aimed and operated from an additional helm, flybridge, or other control position on the vessel.

The weather-resistant keypad provides directional, power, and rotation-speed controls and can be installed using either the included surface-mount or flush-mount hardware. The kit also includes the splitter, connectors, and coaxial cable required to connect the additional Point Pad to a compatible master controller.

Description

Control from a Second Location

The URP-102 kit is intended for vessels that need searchlight control from more than one position. A secondary controller can be useful on boats with an upper helm, flybridge, pilothouse, tower, or separate exterior steering station.

Compatible RCL-50 and RCL-100 LED systems can support up to three URP-102 Point Pads when connected to the appropriate master controller.

Full Searchlight Operation

The Point Pad provides fingertip control of the connected searchlight. Its controls allow the operator to:

  • Switch the searchlight on and off
  • Rotate the light left or right
  • Raise or lower the beam
  • Select high or low rotation speed
  • Activate the XRCiZ maintenance cycle when supported by the master controller

The XRCiZ function periodically moves the searchlight mechanism to help keep its motors, bearings, and electrical contacts operational during periods of limited use.

Surface or Flush Installation

The URP-102 can be surface mounted with its external housing or flush mounted into the helm or console. Separate mounting cases, gaskets, and hardware are provided for both arrangements.

The flush-mount face measures approximately 100 × 94.5 mm, while the installation requires a central wiring-clearance opening and mounting holes according to the ACR template.

Complete Secondary-Station Kit

Unlike the standalone URP-102 Point Pad, the secondary-station kit includes a two-way splitter, four F-type connectors, and 15 ft. of coaxial cable. These components allow the new controller to share the wired communication connection with the vessel’s existing Point Pad.

Confirm Controller Compatibility

URP-102 compatibility depends on the master controller installed with the searchlight. It is used with the URC-102 and URC-103 control systems found on compatible RCL-50, RCL-100, and RCL-100 LED installations.

The URP-102 is not compatible with every earlier ACR master-controller generation. The existing controller model should therefore be identified before replacing a Point Pad or adding another station.
