Wireless Satellite PTT Operation

The VS-3 pairs with Bluetooth-equipped IC-SAT100 radios, allowing operators to hear incoming audio and transmit through the headset. The IC-SAT100 supports a One-Touch PTT setting that allows communication with a single press of the VS-3 PTT button.

Accessible Headset Controls

The front-mounted PTT button and volume controls provide quick access during routine operation. Three side buttons can be assigned supported radio functions through the connected transceiver, helping reduce the need to handle the radio for common controls.

Compact Single-Ear Design

The VS-3 uses a small clip-on control unit with a built-in microphone and a removable SP-36 earphone. The earphone can be configured for either the left or right ear, making the headset suitable for extended field, vehicle, and dispatch use.

Battery and Charging

An internal rechargeable lithium-polymer battery powers the headset. Charging is completed through the Micro-USB port using the supplied cable and typically takes approximately three hours. The headset cannot be operated while charging.

Bluetooth Range and Operating Conditions

The rated Bluetooth communication range is up to 10 m / 32.8 ft, although walls, wireless networks, microwave equipment, and other 2.4 GHz devices may reduce the usable distance. The VS-3 is splash-resistant to IPX4 and is designed to operate from -20°C to 60°C / -4°F to 140°F.
