The Spot Trace Annual Basic plan provides satellite GPS tracking and asset-monitoring service for SPOT Trace, with location updates at 5, 10, 30, or 60-minute intervals. It also supports movement alerts, daily status updates, Dock Mode, and device power and battery notifications for monitoring vehicles, boats, equipment, and other valuable assets.

Asset Tracking
5, 10, 30, or 60-Minute Tracking Intervals
The Basic plan allows SPOT Trace to automatically report an asset's GPS location at the selected tracking interval while the asset is moving. Location information can be viewed through SPOT Mapping.
Movement Alerts
SPOT Trace can notify configured contacts by text message or email when movement is detected after the asset has been stationary. Tracking resumes according to the configured tracking interval once movement is detected.
Asset Monitoring Features
- Dock Mode for assets primarily stored on the water
- Daily Status Message with the asset's location
- Power Off Message when the device is shut down
- Low Battery Message when battery power is running low
Network & Coverage
SPOT Trace communicates through the Globalstar satellite network and is designed for tracking assets beyond conventional cellular coverage. Satellite visibility and service availability vary by location, so coverage should be confirmed for the intended operating area.
