The SPOT X Flex Basic Plan provides seasonal two-way satellite messaging and tracking with the ability to suspend service when it is not needed. Each active month includes 20 Custom Messages, unlimited Check In and Predefined Messages, unlimited SOS, and 10, 30, or 60-minute GPS tracking.

The Flex Basic plan is designed for seasonal or occasional SPOT X use. Each active service month includes 20 two-way Custom Messages, with additional messages billed at $0.25 each.

The Custom Message allowance includes both incoming and outgoing messages on U.S.-registered SPOT X units.
GPS Tracking
10, 30, or 60-Minute Tracking Intervals
Basic service provides standard location tracking for occasional users. Tracking must be restarted after 24 hours on this tier.
Flex Service
1-Month Minimum Active Term
Flex service can be suspended when it is not needed and resumed for future use. An annual Flex charge applies even when the service is suspended.
Emergency Communication
Unlimited SOS service remains available while the subscription is active and supports two-way communication with the 24/7 response coordination service.
Coverage
SPOT X operates through the Globalstar satellite network. Coverage is available across many major regions but is not fully global, and two-way coverage should be verified for the intended destination.
