This plan combines a small monthly data allowance with Toughsat's higher-speed VSAT service profile. It is best suited to applications where total monthly usage is limited but individual transfers may benefit from greater available bandwidth.
Service Speed
Up to 20 Mbps Download / 5 Mbps Upload
The 20/5 Mbps profile provides greater available throughput than the 3/1 Mbps tier. Standard service is dynamically contended rather than a guaranteed dedicated connection.
Additional Data
Usage above the included 1 GB is billed separately. The current overage rate for this legacy 1 GB tier should be confirmed before publication.
Network Service
The service operates over Ground Control's iDirect VSAT network for broadband internet connectivity from compatible Toughsat systems in remote and temporary operating locations.
Coverage
Satellite availability depends on the operating region, selected satellite, equipment, and link configuration. Ground Control publishes its standard iDirect rates for North American service and offers international connectivity separately.
