Iridium 9575/9555/9505A AC Wall Charger only (w/out any plug adapters)
Description
Replacement AC Charger
This charger replaces a lost or damaged Iridium wall charger or provides a spare for an office, residence, travel kit, or remote operating location. It supplies regulated power for charging the handset battery from a standard AC electrical outlet.
The phone can remain switched on while connected to power, although active use may increase the time required to complete a charge.
Worldwide Voltage Support
The charger accepts 100–240V AC at 50–60Hz, allowing it to operate across the mains-voltage standards used in most countries. A voltage converter is therefore not normally required.
A compatible removable plug adapter is still necessary to match the physical wall outlet. This charger-only package does not include any regional plug modules.
Rapid Handset Charging
The charger provides 6V DC output at approximately 850mA. Under suitable conditions, the handset battery can reach approximately 90% charge in three hours, with a complete fast charge taking about 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Actual charging time depends on battery condition, ambient temperature, and whether the phone is being used while connected. Charging is recommended between 0°C and 40°C.
Direct Phone Connection
The attached charging cable connects to the power interface used by the Iridium 9505A and 9555. The Iridium 9575 Extreme uses the charger through its handset power adapter.
The battery must be installed in the phone during charging. This unit is not designed to charge a loose battery separately.
