Description
Required Charging Connection
The Iridium Extreme uses a removable adapter between the handset and its charging accessories. This adapter allows a compatible AC wall charger or DC vehicle charger to connect to the phone and recharge its installed battery.
It is useful as a replacement for a lost or damaged original or as a spare kept with a travel, vehicle, or field communication kit.
USB Data Access
A compatible USB cable can connect through the adapter for supported data communication between the Iridium Extreme and a computer. This may include handset configuration, firmware updates, contact management, and Iridium data services when the required drivers, software, and active service are available.
Compact Direct-Fit Design
The adapter attaches directly to the handset’s accessory connection without requiring tools. Its compact form adds only the ports needed for power and USB access and can be removed when the phone is stored.
The connected charger or USB cable should not be pulled or placed under strain while attached, as this may damage the adapter or handset connection.
Power and USB Functions Only
This adapter is intended for charging and USB access. Installations that require an external Iridium antenna use the separate antenna, power, and USB adapter, which includes an additional antenna connection.
