Unlike broadband satellite plans that measure data in MB or GB, Iridium GO! data is measured by connection time. Each data minute represents one minute connected to the Iridium GO! satellite data service.

After using the included voice or data allowance, additional minutes are billed at $1.29 / each. Text messaging is unlimited under this plan and does not have a standard per-message overage charge.

Optional Addons

USA Number: $15 /mo.

Rollover Minutes: $10 /mo.

Rollover and USA number are optional add-ons billed separately from your service plan. The rollover add-on allows eligible unused minutes to carry forward for the life of the contract. The USA number add-on assigns a U.S.-based phone number that routes calls to your Iridium GO! service.

Coverage

Iridium provides true global satellite coverage using a constellation of low-earth-orbit satellites. This ensures reliable connectivity across land, sea, and air — including polar regions — making Iridium one of the most comprehensive satellite networks available. A clear view of the sky is required for reliable satellite communication, and service may be affected by terrain, buildings, vessel structures, or other signal obstructions.

Contract and Service Terms

This plan requires a 12-month contract and comes with a $50 activation fee. Early termination fees may apply if service is canceled before completion of the contract. Voice and data usage are billed in one-minute increments after the included allowance is used.

Voice, Messaging and Data

Iridium GO! provides satellite voice calling, text messaging, and low-speed data connectivity through supported applications. Data service is designed for optimized services such as email and weather information rather than general web browsing or other high-bandwidth internet use.

International Calling

Incoming calls dialed directly to the Iridium GO! number do not deduct airtime from the receiving user, though the individual calling may incur international calling rates. Calls received through two-stage dialing or a USA number are deducted from the service plan. Calls to other satellite networks, including Inmarsat, Thuraya, and Globalstar, are billed at $12.00 per minute. Direct dialing to local numbers in certain countries may incur additional charges.
